On 25th Oct, Local contest in China (The fifth WorldWide Telescope Guided Tour Contest) was launched. The contest is co-sponsored by the National Astronomical Observatories and the Chinese Astronomical Society, and undertaken by National Astronomical Data Center, Informatization Working Committee of Chinese Astronomical Society and Shanghai Astronomy Museum.
The contest is based on the WWT platform, which can help teenagers and the public who love astronomy understand astronomy knowledge in a simple way, stimulate their imagination and creativity, and enhance their enthusiasm for astronomical exploration.
The theme of this contest is ‘ journey ‘, which the participants would produce tours around with. Tours that stand out from the contest will have the opportunity to participate in the First International WorldWide Telescope Tour Contest (IWTC).
The award ceremony is planned to be held at Shanghai Astronomical Museum on July 17, 2022.
